ETW Breda has been a customer of Hiflex for years and uses, among other things, the Exor HMI panels. Also this time they have used the Exor HMI panels in a nice project with 12 gantry cranes that are controlled from two control cabins. The gantry cranes are used for moving rails so that they can be welded together.Exor HMIs were chosen because of their versatility in terms of construction and integration with various controllers. In this project, a seamless integration with Siemens has been achieved.ETW Breda had a number of wishes. For example, the operators in the two control cabins must be able to see information and alarms from the five gantry cranes that they operate separately.Installation space is limited in the cabins. In addition, it must be possible to determine all settings of all gantry cranes on a large central display. Finally, the visualization or operation must be able to work with Siemens PLCs.Hiflex made sure that the wishes could be met.The two control cabins have both been given an EXOR JSmart715 HMI because of their compact design. In addition, it is possible to mount them directly on a bracket.A control box is therefore not necessary.Operators can now clearly see information and alarms from the five gantry cranes they operate. In addition, a 21 inch Exor eX721 HMI has been installed in the central control cabinet at the office. All settings of the 12 gantry cranes can be determined on this display.Exor JMobile ensures seamless integration with the applied Siemens PLCs.The eX700 is Exor's most comprehensive HMI series. They are available with a 5 to 21 inch display with capacitive touch. It is possible to equip these HMI's with CODESYS v3, so that they can also be used as PLC.The multiple individual Ethernet ports and support for various software links ensure that the eX700 series fits perfectly into IoT solutions. The JSmart is an HMI series with a special design. The all-round IP67 protection class makes it possible to place these HMIs in more challenging environments. They only have one connection.Power is supplied via Power over Ethernet. The JSmart series offers glass TFT multitouch screens from 5 to 21 inches. The email address will not be published.Required fields are marked with *This site uses Akismet to reduce spam.See how your comment data is processed.Sign up now for our newsletter.
