October 18, 2017-Industrial HMI (Human Machine Interface) supplier WEINTEK USA launched their latest HMI workspace solution MT8103iE HMI, which includes a secure built-in Wi-Fi function designed for harsh and/or IIoT environments.

The MT8103iE HMI solution provides a Wi-Fi communication link that complies with the 802.11b/g/n wireless communication standard, and therefore provides a connection via WPA-PSK/WPA2-PSK, allowing the HMI to collect and send data and security protocols in a safe manner. MT8103iE also includes an Ethernet port to provide the required PLC/controller connection. Although lighter and thinner than the MT8100i, the MT8103iE offers 10.1 inches of higher resolution, wider viewing angles and longer display life (50,000 hours). In addition, since EasyAccess 2.0 license is included, there is no need to pay for the activation card.

When engineers connect to the MT8103iE through a wireless router, they can download their HMI project directly into the HMI and operate through VNC or remote HMI mode without physically touching the device in any way. The ability to communicate wirelessly with the HMI to introduce or modify the programming, testing, monitoring, troubleshooting or debugging of the HMI is a step in the development of the machine control space.
