Win Enterprises’ Raspberry Pi CM4-based "IP67 Tablet PC" provides a 7-inch 800 x 400 capacitive touch screen, GbE with IP67 protection, RS485 and 2 USB 3.0 ports as well as WiFi/BT, 40-pin GPIO and optional 4G. Embedded vendors almost universally boast about the Raspberry Pi foundation of their products. Not so Win Enterprises — the company released a product page for a 7-inch IP67 panel PC, which is clearly built around Raspberry Pi Compute Module 4. This is the first CM4-based industrial panel PC we have covered, but we saw that we missed two CM4-based Chipsee tablets in January, which we will see soon. Although the IP67 tablet (click on the image to enlarge) does not mention the Raspberry Pi, the device's 1.5GHz, quad-core, Cortex-A72 Broadcom BMC2711 combined with the optional 4G or LTE/GPS module clearly shows that it is powered by Raspberry Pi CM4 . Except for Raspberry Pi, no one gets BMC2711, and CM4 is the first Pi with free PCIe Gen2 x1 slot. The Raspberry Pi 4 SBC based on BMC2711 uses its PCie x1 interface to drive USB 3.0.

The IP67 tablet computer has a die-cast aluminum chassis, which provides IP67 waterproof and dustproof protection. The device complies with NEMA 4x standards, ensuring reliable operation in most hazardous environments, resisting high levels of dust, dirt, grease, shock and vibration, while meeting the required EMI/RFI resistance compliance," Win Enterprises said The standard model supports 0 to 50°C, and there is an optional -20 to 85°C model.

The device runs Linux, has the latest Linux kernel and Ubuntu support. You can order 2GB to 8GB soldered LPDDR4-3200. A microSD slot of up to 32GB is provided, indicating that this is an RPi CM4 Lite without eMMC.

The IP67-protected 7-inch 800 x 480 color LCD provides 10-finger capacitive touch support. IP67 protection is also provided for GbE, half-duplex RS485 and 2 USB 3.0 ports

The IP67 tablet provides an internal 40-pin GPIO connector and a USB 2.0 interface, which is said to be "for cellular". Built-in 802.11ac and Bluetooth 5.0 BLE and optional extended range antenna. An optional SKU only provides WiFi. The device is powered by an IP67 protected 12VDC/3A input and has an optional DIN rail installation.

The only other industrial panel PC based on the Raspberry Pi computing module we covered is ComfilePi's RPi CM3+ based ComfilePi. The ComfilePi system protected by IP65 is available in 7, 10.1, 10.2 and 15 inch configurations.

No pricing or availability information is provided for IP67 panel PCs. More information can be found on the Win Enterprises product page.
