Parker Hannifin, a motion and control technology supplier, is expanding its display product portfolio with Pro Display 12, which is an advanced 12-inch human-machine interface display module or "tablet computer" with the best camera connectivity.

This rugged, high-performance module is aimed at mobile machine OEMs in industries such as agriculture and construction. It has a sun-readable display and a quad-core CPU.

Like the previous Pro Display 10, the latest Parker HMI is equipped with an application-based platform and provides tools for rapid and advanced application development.

Parker Hannifin said that with Pro Display, customers can deploy multiple HMI functions in a centralized HMI unit, such as machine functions, diagnostics, efficiency tools, infotainment and entertainment, thereby saving cabin space and costs.

Parker Pro Display 12 has a multi-touch function for intuitive and easy operation, and provides high screen brightness, providing excellent visibility even in direct sunlight, thereby improving operator safety.

In addition, the IPS technology used in Pro Display 12 in Pro Display 12 can present clear images and impressive color reproduction at a wide viewing angle.

Pro Display is designed to increase efficiency and reduce driver distraction, and can be used as the central HMI unit in the system or as a standalone display.

Importantly, HMI is not limited to a specific control system integration, and customers can also integrate an unlimited number of applications.

In fact, through the easy-to-use software tools in Parker UX Toolkit, customized applications can be created according to specific requirements, thereby reducing time to market.

Typical applications of the new HMI include agricultural vehicles, forestry harvesters and freight forwarders, special trucks, buses and coaches, mobile cranes, reach stackers, and construction vehicles such as large wheel loaders and road construction machinery.

For the agricultural sector, Parker's Pro Display 12 can also be used with the company's ISOBUS Suite software, which contains two applications: ISOBUS universal terminal and task controller.

For example, these applications allow system developers to create tailor-made integrated HMI systems in which ISOBUS functions coexist with tractor meters, camera images, and electronic manuals.

The new display has four analog camera interfaces, providing the potential to implement cost-effective vision systems. This function also supports the "look around" function to expand the driver's field of vision.

In addition to the four camera interfaces, multiple IP cameras can be connected to Pro Display 12 via an Ethernet switch or WLAN access point.

Various communication interfaces and infotainment functions support multi-functional use in the car. For example, four CAN buses support the communication of various systems in the vehicle.

You can easily update the software by using the memory stick through the USB port, and the built-in antenna supports wireless communication. In addition, there is a connector for external antenna-for FM-RDS radio.

Since the display can be installed horizontally or vertically, the versatility is further enhanced.

The touch screen interface can quickly and accurately interact with the application program of the display, but you can also use remote buttons or pulse wheels to control the platform as needed.

Pro Display can also reproduce sound and display video with audio, while Bluetooth can be used for remote display and diagnosis, smartphone hands-free applications, and music streaming services.
